We recently published the testimony of Jihan Swelem-’Aweidah, A 31-year-old from Jabalya R.C., Jihan lost her two young children when the house they were sheltering in was bombed. Her husband was arrested and tortured by Israel. The testimony was given to B’Tselem field researcher Olfat al-Kurd on 7 August 2024 Jihan Swelem-‘Aweidah was killed on 10 October 2024, when a nearby house was bombed while she was cooking on the roof of her brother’s house in Jabalya R.C.
