🎥 In October, Mahmoud Khalil’s lawyer, Ramzi Kassem, spoke in a Zoom meeting to advise pro-Hamas protesters on who should break the law—and just how far they could go—based on their immigration status and the risks of legal consequences. ⚖️This week, Kassem agreed to defend Khalil after the ICE detainee clearly did not heed his advice. 🚨A lawyer who warns about the law behind closed doors but cries injustice in public? That’s hypocrisy. ⚠️The call was titled "Emergency Session: A Survival Guide to Arrests and Jail Support". It took place on Oct 6, 2024, in anticipation of the Oct 7 anniversary protests. 📍The session was coordinated by the Muslim American Society of New York and led by Nerdeen Kiswani.
