I agree. But genuine gender dysphoria, while statistically rare, does exist. I'll focus on males, who are the driving force behind all the commotion. If a male who suffers from it goes through all the hormonal treatments and has the surgery (also extremely rare), I'll cut them some slack. Try reading Conundrum, by Jan Morris, for an account by a man who did all that. She may have had autogynephilia instead of gender dysphoria (I think @Steve_Sailer is of that opinion), but she did a hell of a lot more than put on a dress and call herself a female.
