Iran fired ~20 ballistic missiles (some with cluster warheads) at the U.S.-used Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan tonight. Videos show massive Patriot salvos — OSINT counts put it at 60+ interceptors, some estimates over 100. U.S. doctrine fires 2–4 Patriots per incoming missile, and cluster munitions force even more shots since the bomblets scatter after the carrier breaks up. The cost: Each PAC-3 MSE interceptor runs roughly $4–5 million. At 60+ interceptors that's somewhere around $240–500+ million in a single night. If the higher counts (~100) are accurate, you're potentially looking at half a billion dollars of missiles expended in minutes. The stockpile question looms large — months of high-intensity use have already burned through a significant share of U.S. PAC-3 inventory, and production can't keep pace with consumption at this rate.
