BREAKING: After an upward revision for last week, US COVID-19 positivity hit another ALL TIME LOW of 0.83% as of May 16, down 55% from 6 weeks ago. 30% of regions increased (🚨East central, Southeast, Upper Midwest), and 60% are at new all time lows. New England has the lowest rate since June 2021. Region key just below chart. Red change indicates an increase in positive tests from initial report last week. Adjusting for late reporting, only ~430 cases are accounted for here. On Friday 1402 new C19 positive hospital admissions were reported. Thread begins! 1/

BREAKING: For a 5th week in a row, US COVID test positivity hit a new, lower, ALL TIME LOW of 0.81% 🚨🚨The Southwest region increased by 46% to 1%, highest since April 4! 🚨The South Central region (0.94%) increased by 15%, and is highest since April 11 New England has lowest positivity rate since July 3, 2021, with only 3 weeks lower. All other regions are at NEW, ALL TIME LOWS for test positivity. Testing is the lowest since August.
