US reports nationwide COVID test positivity rises to 3.1% (+26.5%), up the most since Dec 28-Jan 3. Southeast, and South Central regions up the most since Aug 2025! Southwest, and South Central are both over 5%, and highest since Late September. Southeast region reports 3.74%, highest since Sep 28-Oct 4 New England crosses above 2020 levels! Testing demand rises the most since Feb 15-21, and highest since June 13!

NEW: US reports COVID-19 positivity in the South Central region spikes the most since August 23 to the highest since September 21-27 (5.26%, +74%) US national rises to 2.35%, highest since March 8-14. The Rockies, and Heartland region rise the most since 2025. The Southwest was revised up the prior week, this weeks report is unreliable due to the 70% drop in tests. Expect another upward revision next week. US COVID testing hit an all time low this week
