Look at Turkey. Atatürk pushed Islam out of public life, built a secular state from the ground up, and many thought the job was done. Yet, under Erdoğan, it took less than twenty years to reverse nearly a century of secularism You can’t pin your hopes on one man to keep Islam in check. Personalities come and go. Without dismantling the system itself, Islam will resurface, reorganize, and reassert control. It always does.

🇹🇷TURKISH CARTOONISTS DRAGGED FROM HOMES OVER SATIRICAL DRAWING 3 cartoonists from Leman magazine were detained after publishing a satirical image interpreted as depicting Prophets Moses and Muhammad shaking hands - meant to symbolize peace amid war. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya called the drawing “vile” and shared videos of the arrests, including footage of artists handcuffed and dragged barefoot by police. The magazine insists the cartoon was misunderstood and never intended to insult Islam, calling the outrage a "deliberately malicious" smear campaign. Source: Reuters
