How do we handle rogue drones? The reality is, our current laws don’t make it easy—there’s no 911 someone can call and know it will get taken care of. That’s part of why there’s such frustration. Agencies like DOD and DHS have limited, patchwork authority, and in some cases, if a government facility shoots down an unauthorized drone, *they* could be the ones facing legal consequences. In Congress, we’re already working on solutions, and now we have the public will to get them passed. We need a comprehensive plan: clearly defined authority, actionable steps for response, and real penalties for those misusing drones.
