Huawei just dropped something interesting at the IEEE conference in Shanghai: a new tech called LogicFolding. For 60 years the industry followed Moore's Law: keep shrinking transistors smaller and smaller (down to nanometer sizes) to pack more power into every chip. TSMC leads that race. But that path is expensive and physically limited. Huawei's workaround? Stop playing catchup on the goal of making things tinier. Instead, focus on shortening the time it takes for signals to travel inside the chip. Their LogicFolding stacks circuit layers vertically and "folds" critical paths, so electrons don't have to race across long wires. Same (or better) performance and density, but without needing the absolute smallest manufacturing node. I’m a pretty big fan of Huawei and I’ve already decided that my next vehicle will be one of their products (Shortlisted the Luxeed V9), so I’m particularly interested in keeping an eye on how this all comes together!
