I'm not gonna lie, seeing Nancy Pelosi's little pet "activist" in this position is a satisfying sight. Not just for me. For a lot of other Hong Kongers who actually lived through the riots he spent years endorsing. When Joshua was given the chance to condemn violence against ordinary civilians, he wouldn't. He called the beating of civilians a trial-and-error process. The use of force, he said, was a matter for them to decide. That's not even why he's behind bars. Nancy and the rest of the US government knew exactly what they were doing when they turned him into their foot soldier. They knew what would happen to an American who did the reverse. Imagine some kid flying to Beijing, standing in front of the National People's Congress, calling for America to be brought down, and lobbying for sanctions designed to wreck the livelihoods of ordinary Americans. The US egged him on the whole way. They even gave him a Netflix documentary painting him as some teenage superhero. He let it all go to his head. Thought he was invincible. Thought he could get away with whatever he wanted. Joshua was still walking around Hong Kong while all of this was happening. Washington got so confident they even flew US senators over to cheer the rioters on the ground. Now imagine Chinese or Russian leaders landing in DC to high-five the January 6 crowd. It became an absolute joke, but Hong Kong finally came to its senses eventually. The only bigger joke is watching Nancy clutch her pearls now and pretend this was just innocent advocacy for freedom. She knew exactly what she was backing. She’s just hoping nobody remembers.
