People who understand the Middle East know, even if they refuse to say it, that Israel has strategically shifted the balance in its favor. Since October 7, when Israel lost a lot of strategic position due to its evident vulnerability, it has done the following: 1) Mostly erased Hamas's 40k-man army, eliminated its command structure, eliminated the majority of its senior commanders, and eviscerated its tunnels and armaments 2) Eliminated more than half of Hezbollah's command structure, including the head of its military 3) Destroyed the port that was the Houthis' principal point of import for oil and weapons in Yemen 4) Shown it has free rein to hit targets across Syria 5) Revealed to Iran that its cruise, ballistic, and UAV threats can scarcely penetrate Israeli defenses 6) Revealed to Iran that the IRGC, its core defense body, is deeply compromised. 7) Revealed to Iran that despite all the diplomatic messiness, Israel enjoys a defensive coalition that includes not only the US, UK and France, but also Saudi and Jordan. Frankly, none of the global demonstrations or the international law stuff comes close to mattering as much as the combination of all of these. This does not look like Iran is winning its war.
