People who think the region is "on the brink of all-out war" do not understand the previous balance of power or the current one. Hezbollah was, until two weeks ago, the most feared and mighty force of "resistance" in the region. But they no longer are. Their massive power didn't show up. Neither did their allies in Syria, Iraq, or even Iran itself. Ask yourself: If wiping out the entire leadership of Hezbollah is not enough to "unleash" their "hundreds of thousands of missiles aimed at Tel Aviv"--then what on earth would be enough? If killing Haniyeh in Tehran and erasing their number-one deterrent against Israel isn't enough to trigger the might of Iran, what possibly could? What all-out war are we on the brink of? From reports, the Syria-Iraq militia are too freaked out to even decide on a course of action. Assad is under pressure to cut ties with Iran. Lebanon is under pressure to take its country back from Hezbollah and implement 1701. The Supreme Leader of Iran was moved to a "safe location" The Houthis have no electricity or fuel. What all-out war? WIll Iran now launch a lot of missiles--most of which again will be intercepted by an Israeli-American-British-Saudi-Jordanian coalition--and risk direct assault from Israel? Iran has no air force to speak of. Israel can get around its air defenses. What all-out war? Against whom? The entire might of the Iranian empire has been living rent-free in our heads and just got a bright red eviction notice.
