We get it, you love event sourcing Using state machines (especially statecharts) with event sourcing is actually a really strong combination. The machine becomes the pure, explicit transition function over the event log. Realize that the core thing that makes event sourcing work: (state, event) -> nextState *is*, by definition, a state machine transition function.
