This is really pretty sad. First, he is wrong about the polls. Trump has never got 51% support in any poll or election. Never has, never will. Second, in anther part of the interview he shows how out of step he is with the Trump Republican Party. He says his choice to support Trump is because it is not about Trump but about GOP policies, then rattling off the Ronald Reagan talking points. But that GOP is gone. The Trump GOP is not about conservative government, it is only about Trump and only Trump.
