I have dedicated my career to international law, and have always believed that international legal institutions can play a constructive role in this field. Yesterday, the very day on which the #IDF recovered the bodies of 3 hostages from Hamas's tunnels in Gaza, this fundamental axiom of the international rules-based order has been undermined. The #ICJ has, once again, failed to resist political pressures. As a result, South Africa, with Hamas as its ally, is further emboldened to continue weaponizing the Genocide Convention. #Israel is fighting a cruel and lawless terrorist organization. As stated below - despite this absurdity, Israel has been and remains committed to international law.
