History’s darkest chapter began not with planes or tanks, but with racism, incitement, and hatred. We commemorate Yom HaShoah today, acutely aware that antisemitism is once again on the rise globally, often thinly veiled as “anti-Zionism.” Hateful rhetoric and open support for designated terrorist organizations have incited physical attacks on Jews. How can modern democracies address antisemitism in all its forms while upholding freedom of expression and international human rights standards? Taking “Never Again” seriously requires, at a minimum, broad commitment to @TheIHRA working definition of antisemitism. While a definition alone is not a solution, it’s an essential step to affirming our collective responsibility towards the victims of the Holocaust and future generations. #YomHashoah #NeverAgain
