As a longtime lover of Ireland and Irish music, I was saddened by the closure of Israel’s embassy in Dublin. Far more painful, though, was Ireland’s transformation from the land of the Jewish Lord Mayors of Cork and Dublin, of Leopold Bloom, and President Herzog’s grandfather, into a land in which Jew hatred disguised as anti-Zionism has become official state policy.
