Nearly five months after leaving office, former State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told Sky’s Mark Stone on the Trump 100 podcast that it is “without a doubt true that Israel has committed war crimes in Gaza” — but added that “in almost every major conflict… you see individual members of the military committing war crimes.” Miller stressed this was his personal view, not the U.S. government’s, and noted Washington has not formally found Israel responsible. He also dismissed accusations of genocide but admitted he wished more had been done to pressure for a ceasefire between May and mid-January 2025, when thousands of Palestinian civilians were killed.
