Story time: the first time I took a walk with @JeffDean, we grabbed coffee and wandered around University Ave in Palo Alto. A family in a car called out to us, asking (first in Spanish) for directions to the nearest clinic. Jeff pulled out his phone, opened @GoogleMaps, and patiently walked them through it -- while I used Translate to figure out what they'd been asking for specifically. That family had no idea the person giving them directions helped make @Google possible: Maps, Search, Translate, all of it. Personalized customer support from Jeff Dean himself. I'll never forget it, or the million other moments of Jeff being the kindest human (for me, and for many others, in the AI world and outside it). ♥️
