i expect this is unfortunately probably correct mostly but it's less stages of grief per se than how to make a peace in such a way that the war actually ends persistently no one believes russia is done, us doesn't want to make security guarantees. probably europe can't or won't

I’ve still yet to see anyone articulate a real way for Ukraine to get into a better negotiating position that doesn’t involve NATO entering the war. This is all just stages of grief, Ukraine/Europe lost the war at least a year ago
