I will never forgive those who watched radicalism spread in the only places we had left to be safe from it and said nothing because it “wasn’t the right talking point” at the time, or “wasn’t the right time to point it out.” It must be gotten in front of at its immediate inception, otherwise it becomes too late. That is no conspiracy. We know this story all too well. Nobody wants to have to place focus here, but when nobody else is willing to speak out, it forces a minority of us to take all the heat for drawing these incredibly sensitive lines for the sake of our collective survival, our future, and the integrity of our social fabrics. They thwart our every effort to ensure a safe and tolerant society then reap all the benefits of that society later, as though it happened magically all by itself and not in spite of all the weights they put on our backs to build it.
