Why say “imagine” as though this is not quite literally exactly what we’ve been watching those disguised as “Pro-Palestine” doing here for the past year, and far worse. To be sure: - Rampaged through the city - check (in the hundreds of thousands for an entire year, with mass disturbances, raids, marches, blockades, and encampments) - Ripped down Israel flags - check (set them on fire in fact) - Chanted “death to Jews” - check (including “go back to Poland,” “kill The hostages” “globalize the intifada” “we are all Hamas” “10,000 more October 7’s” and many more) - Attacked local residents - check, (including smashing windows of Jewish businesses and graffitiing upside down triangles on homes to terrorize Jews). Here’s what has not happened in response to the above: - hunting down of Palestinians, asking “where are you from” and then beating them up if they say Palestinian or can’t prove that they aren’t. - throwing them in the River and forcing them to say “am yisrael chai” - demanding their passports to prove their nationality before beating them unconscious. I don’t think anybody would excuse the above behaviors if it were reversed. All things considered, violent racism and xenophobia is basing your decision to commit harm against someone upon not what they said, not what they did, not how they acted, but the answer to the question, “where are you from.” Why is this so hard for the “anti-racist” crowd to understand more than anybody? https://bird.makeup/@owenjonesjourno/1854949769963008214
