This is the new benchmark upon which the extreme left’s entire moral code is built. “He could’ve used a bomb but he settled for a bullet. Now that’s a stand up guy.” Never mind that the victim was not a jihadist hiding in terror tunnels after knifing people, breaking bones, removing limbs, shooting children dead, and kidnapping infants and burying them underground. This is how normalization of violence for a “righteous cause” has shifted the extreme left’s Overton window, gradually making “revolutionary” violence more and more acceptable and moving further away from our social moral compass. The “little guys” doing the killing are the good guys, showing “restraint” for not using a bomb (never mind that all of these guys, from the Ivy League to the Middle East, seem to come from wealthy backgrounds and aren’t very “little” at all), versus the establishment doing the killing, who are the bad guys. In this way, they don’t think killing is wrong, they think who does the killing determines whether it is right or wrong, and because of their fetishization of oppression, whom so ever adorns the “oppressed” cloak can do no wrong, no matter the grave extents of the harm. They are the monsters they hate, they’ve just convinced themselves the noble savages are the heroes (even when they are neither noble, nor savages). https://bird.makeup/@prem_thakker/1866882269077705057
