Leftist media and social media influencers haven’t missed a beat to tell you that Elon Musk is finally showing you who he really is. I have a question for the leftist media and social media influencers. For the past 15 months that you were watching the Nazi salute at pro-Palestine rallies over and over and over again, where were you? Where you were was pretending you couldn’t see it. Where you were was insisting they were “Zionist plants.” Where you were was insisting that it wasn’t symptomatic of the entire movement, but, after 15 months of propagating deep antisemitism and jihadist propaganda, now you’ve suddenly found your voices to be outraged? It’s not unlike when the Soviets engineered a smear campaign against Pope Pius XII to turn him into “Hitler’s Pope,” despite the fact that the Pope was helping to hide the Jews, not because the Soviets were against antisemitism—they were antisemites—but because they wanted to demonize a political enemy: the Church, and anybody who supported Jews. In psychology, the term to describe this is “projection.”
