As of September 10th, the Nino 3.4 anomaly is now 2.94°C (preliminary) above the 1991-2020 baseline, setting the 104th consecutive daily record, a full 1.09°C above the previous record for the day, set in 1997. The Climate 8-ball is gobsmacked.
