I'm delighted see increasing use of the term "FOSS" and even "Libre" to describe open source software with no commercial restrictions. I feel that this is the right way. We at FUTO are very happy to co-exist with organizations who advocate this model, even while we aggressively pursue open source software with strong proprietorship and commercial protections for the proprietor. We don't want the best engineering talent in the world to be begging for "donations" simply because they want their project to be open source software.
