In case anybody is interested, the naming scheme for the machines at my house is comic mythical beasts. My desktop is always "snark". My laptop is "golux", and when I have a tertiary machine (I don't at the moment) it's "hurkle". The male and DNS server downstairs is "grelber" and the router is "quintaped". My wife's desktop is "minx". Have fun tracking those down.
