I saw a challah being marketed this week as a symbol of liberation for Gaza in advance of a “Shabbat for Palestine”. The braiding of the challah and the resulting mounds are supposed to represent the 12 tribes of Israel, you pricks. It represents manna from heaven that the Jews received while wandering in the desert. The challah is about our liberation which we are still fighting to protect from Hamas. Our challah. Our customs. Our story. Shabbat shalom to my fellow Jews and all of our allies. May we know peace soon.
