I didn’t realize until this moment that I too would have to watch Holocaust survivors being liberated from the concentration camps in real time. Maybe it was foolish of me to not assume that the worst could happen again. It was foolish of all of us to believe the world has changed. Shabbat shalom. Light candles. Break bread. Be with your families. Remember who we are. Never again. Never ever ever again.
