Those “Gaza Health Ministry” numbers you’ve been quoting blindly? They included thousands of natural deaths. People died of natural causes and Hamas blamed Israel and you bought it.

The admission by MoH that the fatality list for March 2025 removed natural deaths resulted in set of arguments that aim to justify Hamas as an honest broker, but the arguments prove the opposite. Let's take a look: 1. Argument: "The MoH had trouble figuring out natural deaths, it's war after all, they are cleaning it up now." This argument is necessarily an admission that the MoH can't tell who is a "war death" or "natural death" -- either you know both or you know neither! 2. Argument: "The removal of natural deaths means they didn't add natural deaths systematically before." But in fact, it proves natural deaths were added one way or another. The MoH swore for 16 months the lists were only war caused deaths. And when this was pointed out, the "Hamas defense attorneys" claimed this was preposterous. The removal now shatters the credibility of prior lists, it does not bolster it. 3. Argument: "Well, they're fixing up the lists now, so you see, Hamas is being honest, they're really trying." But they said months ago each death was rigorously added by actual bodies collected by the hospitals, judicial reviews, no natural deaths -- so then they lied back then. And we're not talking a few dozen but 1000s of removed names with 1,080 children. Why trust them now? 4. Argument: "They're coming out with a list of natural deaths in May (per reports), so you see, they're telling the truth." But why wait 18 months to reveal the natural deaths? If they didn't know who was a "natural death" from day one, by definition they can't provide a complete list of war deaths, they are mutually exclusive categories. 5. Argument: "The prior lists contained lots of war deaths, but not all." So that's another admission that all the prior lists had an unknown number of natural deaths included, since not ALL the deaths are verified as war deaths. That the lists which were supposedly ALL war deaths contained a mix of natural deaths and war deaths, and in unknown numbers. Which means the additions of natural deaths were either systematic, or every death that happened in Gaza was added regardless of knowing how the person died (most likely). Either way, the admission of natural deaths on the list is a massive change in the narrative of the fatality data pumped out by Hamas. And we're talking about 1,080 children removed, it's very meaningful.
