I want this war to end. I want it to end with Hamas' removal from power and the hostages' return home. I don't want it to end with hostages trapped in Gaza or Hamas able to rebuild and prepare for the next war. This harebrained idea guarantees both (and admits one).

Incoherent from @TheEconomist: "Food should not be used as a weapon"... but reconstruction should be. Then it admits conditioning reconstruction on Hamas relinquishing power won't work, but Gazans will rise up against Hamas, which will attack Israel again.
