NEW: Senior Israeli defense officials say The United Nations has so far refused to cooperate with Israel, American companies, and aid organizations on the new food distribution plan in the Gaza Strip. The plan was scheduled to begin tomorrow in several zones across the Strip, with the goal that in about six weeks it would become the near-exclusive source of food aid for Gaza’s population.
