So many differences between the ISIS hostage crisis and October 7. Unlike Israel, Britain stuck to a strict "no negotiating with terrorists policy". And unlike Israel, there was no mass movement demanding a ransom and end of the war against ISIS for his release.

During the war on ISIS, it abducted a British citizen, Alan Henning, and tried to ransom him for an end of the war. ISIS filmed him a propaganda video warning if Britain continued the war against ISIS, he'd be killed. Britain refused to negotiate. He was executed.
