@adamjohnsonCHI @Nomads4Pritzker I think the issue is that they're not really tied, those were efforts that started well before Kirk. The right was making *direct* calls for essentially passing an Enabling Act immediately after Kirk was killed though, and Trump didn't give a shit and didn't act on it.
