White House envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will visit Moscow on September 5-6 and then travel to Kyiv, Russian media report, citing a source. Peskov said that during Witkoff and Kushner’s visit to Moscow, the United States will ask Ukraine to halt strikes on Russia. As for the terms of a settlement with Ukraine, Peskov said that the position outlined by Putin two years ago remains unchanged. He added that the Kremlin considers it premature to speak of any new turning points in the peace process. He also said that, overall, Moscow does not rule out a peaceful settlement in Ukraine. "All of this, of course, gives grounds to say that such a possibility cannot be ruled out - that we may eventually move toward a peaceful settlement. But unfortunately, there are no concrete prerequisites for that yet. The work continues, and contacts continue," he told reporters.
