In an interview at midnight tonight on Galei Yisrael Radio, I was asked about Democrat Senate Majority Leader Schumer’s speech calling for Israel to hold new elections to toss out PM Netanyahu’s government. I responded by saying that Schumer’s remarks were a knife in the back of America’s closest ally and the only democracy in the Middle East. It was the epitome of chutzpah and arrogance, I said, especially coming in the midst of an existential war against terror. I explained that Schumer’s unprecedented interference in the internal affairs of Israel coupled with the Biden Administration’s persistent attempts to cripple Israel’s military campaign reflect a growing panic within the Democratic Party about their dwindling prospects to hold power come November due principally to their failures both domestically and abroad. The attacks on Israel’s duly elected government are not in the best interests of the United States, but rather are a desperate attempt to energize the Party’s woke, progressive base particularly in key swing states. Far from threatening Israel’s robust democracy, the panic-ridden attacks by Schumer et al, have struck a blow at America’s own democratic values, threatening the future of the American republic to the detriment of all mankind.
