My son, 40, a former tank commander who was exempt from reserve duty, nevertheless volunteered to re-enter the reserves and is now serving in Rafah on the Egyptian border with Gaza. He is married with two children, 3 and 1.5. He lost his first wife and an unborn baby to cancer in 2020. His story would make an amazing feature film. I am so very proud of him and the thousands of other men and women who are putting everything on the line to protect the only Jewish state on the planet and the first in more than 2,000 years.
