As we do every week, tonight my family and I will welcome Shabbat together. But tonight is heavier, as we know the Goldberg-Polins and five other families will do the same for the first time since they learned their loved ones were murdered by Hamas after being held hostage for over 320 days. As we mourn their loss, we are also inspired by the extraordinary strength and love shown by Hersh’s parents, Rachel and Jon. Lori and I are holding Hersh and each of the murdered hostages in our hearts tonight, and as we regularly do, we pray for the return of all remaining hostages and an end to this war. May their memories be a blessing.
