Gulf Countries Council (GCC) to convene next month. On top of its agenda will be funding #Lebanon's reconstruction, post-war with #Israel, estimated at $15 billion. #Kuwait said will be happy to, BUT... The "but" is incumbent on the Lebanese rebooting their political system, including completing reforms. Reading between the lines, wealthy Arab Gulf governments will only fund Lebanon's reconstruction if the Lebanese government becomes sovereign and disbands the #Hezbollah militia. I assume the same condition applies to disbanding Hamas in Gaza and reforming the Palestinian Authority, conditions for the Gulf to fund Gaza's reconstruction.
