I’m really starting to think these anti-Israel types are morons. Young people in America shifted to the right. Hispanics, especially working class, went right. Muslims shifted to the right, and there’s no doubt that some of that was a protest vote over Gaza. But so did every other religious minority. The idea that this was about Gaza, and not a rejection of so much of what Americans have seen from progressivism, that it isn’t about the failure to solve their fundamental problems, about immigration and inflation and all the other stuff that elites can ignore but working-class people cannot, is just criminally incompetent political analysis. I mean, it goes beyond ideology. It’s actual stupidity.
