This is true. In this age of great ironies, here’s another: The worst thing Israelis did to Lebanon this year wasn’t its incredibly precise war on Hezbollah, it was leaving Hezbollah intact. My advice, Lebanon, for what it’s worth: Become a competent state and finish the job.
