Here’s a funny story. @Columbia is the biggest private landowner in New York City. At the city’s discretion, it gets huge tax benefits on its many properties. In other words, every day that this goes on at Columbia is a choice by city authorities to refuse to take extremely simple steps squarely within their power to force Columbia to act. Isn’t that funny?

What? Are they literally physically preventing teaching from happening at @Columbia because they hate the nationality of the teacher and the history being taught? Columbia has to answer for this. What does Columbia plan to do about people on campus, apparently students and/or faculty, who literally demand the erasure of history that doesn’t fit their politics and learning that doesn’t subscribe to their agenda? Why the hell are masks allowed on Columbia’s campus? The last group that demanded this right on the grounds of free speech was the KKK. It’s not really a demand for free speech, it’s a demand for the right to abuse and disrupt. Let’s raise a stink. Let’s make Columbia answer for the environment of ignorance and abuse it still, even now, allows to flourish on campus.
