Ryan tries to show he’s a reasonable guy. He tries and tries and then it slips. Every time. @ryangrim, the only evidence we have that they were killed in an Israeli airstrike is Hamas’s say-so. Hamas has lied repeatedly about hostages being dead when they weren’t. Daniella Gilboa was forced to stage her own death. https://www.timesofisrael.com/hamas-forced-daniella-gilboa-to-stage-her-own-death-during-captivity-her-mother-says/ Even if it were true, it would be a Hamas crime, and we now have the first forensic examination of the children that suggests it isn’t true. Forensic officials have now said their bodies show signs of murder. We don’t yet know details but we know it’s a more reliable claim than fucking Hamas. Christ man. The hostage taker is not the reliable party, by definition. And it’s fair to believe that murder was point-blank because by definition there aren’t many other ways to kill a baby. But hey, if you want to argue they were actually starved to death, go for it. And as for Shiri - if they couldn’t find the fucking body, why send a different random body? Why desecrate the body of some poor Palestinian woman? To what end? Isn’t there just some small chance that they hoped to pass it off as Shiri? That they don’t want a search for Shiri? That Shiri’s body contains evidence they think might make even Ryan Grim struggle to defend their brutality? Ryan, you constantly parrot Hamas propaganda as fact, such as the screenshot below. Maybe that’s why you accuse others of doing the same? As for trying to restart the war, buses exploded prematurely in Israel last night. There could have been 100 dead this morning. Did you fret about that being an attempt to restart a war? Or just Rachel’s tweet? You’re right that Hamas is keen to preserve the ceasefire. It survived. Now it wants to retake Gaza. That’s why it’s been systematically killing dissidents over the past month and broadcasting videos of those killings. Would love your take on that. Hamas, not Israel, is openly devoted to endless war. And the same people who bombed the peace process into oblivion over 20 years aren’t fighting to end the occupation. They’re fighting to destroy Israel, even at the cost of destroying Palestine. If you were less steeped in their propaganda and more in their history and ideas and Arabic-language rhetoric, this would not be news to you.
