If I thought you were an idiot, I'd call this an unbelievably stupid knee-jerk take of a latte-sipping Western orientalist who thinks we live to stand before him in judgment. But you're not an idiot, so this isn't an honest, stupid take. It's a bigoted one couched in moral language to hide its intent. War is evil. It's actually terrible. I've bled in one, you haven't. And this regime has facilitated the deaths in war of maybe a million people just in the last decade, people who never exercised your imagination or drew your sympathy. It also seeks to kill my own children for their ideology of conquest and redemption. So it must be removed. By war. Because it won't stop any other way. And killing the leaders is the easiest and least bloody way to get it done. And that's what's going to happen, whether you like it or not. And all you'll be able to muster in response - the only thought your bigotries will allow for - is that some civilians will die so all Israelis are ghouls. Say one serious thing about the Iranian regime's actions in Syria. Tell us how many Sudanese must die before you'd consider asking the world to even pay attention, never mind try to end it. Selective outrage isn't outrage. It's bigotry cloaked in moralizing.
