What happened to American academia that turned these scholars into such deeply unserious people? This tweet is substantively incorrect. But much worse than that, it could have been written by any old idiot who doesn’t like Israel. We are already saturated with this pablum. Why does so much of academia refuse to be useful, to illuminate, to do anything more difficult or complex than the same empty moralizing everyone else is already doing better?
