Norberto Luis Har, 70, was taken hostage from Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak to Gaza by Hamas on October 7, along with Louis’s partner, Clara Marman, 62, who was released on November 28th. When Hamas militants began their attack on the kibbutz, Luis and Clara hid in their safe room while Luis texted his daughter: “There are terrorists outside. We’re locked in. The neighbors hear them shouting in Arabic,” Luis wrote, later adding, “They have entered some of the houses, but not here yet…” About 20 minutes later, he texted, “They’re in the house. We hear the noises. Let’s pray it over. Kisses.” Born in Argentina, Luis moved to Israel as a young man. There he raised a large, beautiful family, with four children and 10 grandchildren. A recent retiree, Luis is a funny, caring, and loving person who takes pleasure in hosting guests, folk dancing, cooking and baking, and attending the theatre. Bring him home now!
