I believe, with my whole being, that advocating for Palestinians is the right thing to do. What I take issue with is when "advocates" praise Hamas and call for the destruction of Israel. Let's say they get what they want. The first thing that would happen would, obviously, be the removal of all Jews. Hamas is very clear that not a single Jew would be allowed to live in their Palestinian state. So, then we'd have millions of Jews, most of whom were ethnically cleansed from the Middle East, with nowhere to go. Assuming Hamas doesn't just murder us, which, looking at history, is what they would do. But, I'll be generous and say they'd just kick us out. What then? The answer is they couldn't care less. So, forget the Jews. What happens to the Palestinians in this scenario? Well, they continue to live under Hamas, which doesn't hold elections, tortures dissidents to death, and imprisons homosexuals. Can you maybe understand why I think it would be better to advocate for a different solution? The answer is not "do nothing" but it also isn't "let one side just die" regardless of which side it is.
