Eden Golan may not have won Eurovision, but she has won the hearts of every Israeli, Jew, and music lover with a conscience. She represented Israel with elegance, courage, and resilience. And that’s what makes her a true winner. I feel privileged to have been represented by someone like Eden this year. She was exceptional from beginning to end, overcoming every obstacle with grace and determination. Eden was forced to take drastic security measures as she was targeted with death threats and thousands outside the arena calling for her removal and the destruction of her country. While inside, she is constantly subject to booing and jeers during her performances. What Eden experienced during Eurovision is not normal. She should have been able to go out, party with other contestants, and make friends, instead of worrying for her life and working harder than anyone to prove her place in the competition. She stood tall and did not hide or back down. While faced with cowardly shouts during her performance, she continued to sing with a smile and love in her heart. For that, she is the true winner tonight. Eden represented Israel beautifully, showcasing the strength, fearlessness, and love that defines us. This is just the beginning of a successful and wonderful career, and I can’t wait to see everything you achieve. Thank you and bravo, Eden! ❤️🇮🇱
