Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood's response to the pushback to his collaboration with Israeli musician Dudu Tassa goes beyond pointing out that shutting down collaborations between Middle Eastern artists will do nothing to bring peace. He also points out that Jews have a long history in Yemen and Iraq, including Tassas's grandfather, who was a famous composer in Iraq. My Jewish family was driven out of Iraq. I know that those trying to shut down our music are just mad they didn't totally destroy our culture, like they wanted. Shutting down music has nothing to do with helping Palestinians, and everything to do with the continual cultural erasure and persecution of the Jews of the Middle East. Thank you @JnnyG for standing up to hate.
