Defied the Nazis to survive the Holocaust. Defied British law to make aliyah in 1945. Defied expectations to become a sniper for the Haganah. Defied a near fatal shrapnel injury and walked again. Defied every taboo as a sex therapist who helped countless people. A woman whose small stature belied enormous bravery and heart. Dr. Ruth, z"l, will be so deeply missed.
